Working as part of the ITSS Team, the Solutions Analyst complements the campus wide, service-oriented department. The Solutions Analyst is a key contributor to enterprise IT system deployment, operation, and optimization.

Deryl Gallant has been involved in the PEI music scene for over 30 years. From garage band beginnings to a classical degree in double bass, Deryl has become a sought after performing, touring, recording, and instructing bassist. Adept at and happy to play any style of music, most notably he is known as a founding member of the Jive Kings, The Dennis Lee Project, many Charlottetown Festival productions, and Sonny Caulfield’s bassist. Most recently Deryl has been working with: Tara MacLean, Trinity Bradshaw, Route 225, the Ian Toms Trio, Alan Dowling Trio, Winterjazz, Amanda Jackson Band and more.Deryl has tracked bass on more than 30 recordings in his career and has instructed the bass program at both the University of PEI and Holland College.

Sessional Lecturer for classical double bass at the music department of UPEI. Primarily using the Franz Simandl method to bring student from technique study to thumb position solo work and orchestral excerpt mastery. I also use some of the Bornoff string study methods for shifting development.

I started as junior analyst at CGI and was quickly positioned as technical team lead for our Bell TV client on the Tier II application maintenance team. After 3 years of Tier II, I moved to a developer role for a major European bank completing a 2+ year major system upgrade where I was positioned as one of the team's key resources (developer/configuration manager) in bringing a complex project to a successful end. I was then asked to lead a team of developers in monthly enhancements and bug fixes for the same application. In 2012 I was promoted to Senior Consultant.

The Jive Kings from Charlottetown, PEI enjoyed considerable success in their 3 year history. Disbanded in 2002, their diverse repertoire, adaptability, and wide demographic appeal lead to a busy schedule at many different types of events. The Jive Kings performed at Jazz Festivals, as guest artists with a symphony orchestra, club dates, weddings, and a number of other corporate and professional functions. Some highlights include: The Celebrate Toronto Street Festival (with an audience of 60,000), the Atlantic Film Festival Closing Gala, sold out shows at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival and Festival by the Sea, Festival of Lights, the Canada Day Celebration in Moncton, NB, Breakfast Television in Toronto and Halifax, numerous CBC Radio broadcasts and a live national TV appearance on the ECMAs award show.
