- Provided expertise on the planning, build and maintenance of all power and electrical installations in the outside plant especially with reference to NGA• Expert on batteries and related electronics in the cabinet and home environment• Ensured the health and safety of Openreach personnel working on power plant •Designed, developed and delivered processes and strategies for network improvement to reduce costs, increase reliability and simplify engineering• Work with DNOs and other power suppliers to understand their requirements; communicate these requirements across Openreach and Design. Provide a point of reference to support delivery and development of these options.• Assist in optimising the delivery, maintenance, and cost of the electrical plant • To work with key OLO’s, Incumbent Operators and Suppliers to leverage joint R&D opportunities in line with the businesses strategic intent that ultimately provides sustained value creation for the business.• Lead for Openreach on the IEE 17th edition regulations for all electrical installation • Provide SME support in the planning, deployment, commissioning and maintenance of electrical equipment and batteries • To provide relevant support and inputs into the Director of Strategic Network Design to present demonstrable commercially viable techno economic options for strategic decision making.
