As a design engineer on the 737 program, I worked to release mechanical designs and improve manufacturing processes for flight deck internal structure, supporting the 737 NG, 737 MAX and P-8A aircraft. In this role I:- redesigned cockpit components per aviation regulatory requirements to safely return the 737 MAX to the skies- managed the investigation of the 737 flight deck door to alleviate safety issues that previously affected ~7000 airplanes- improved designs of the 737 glareshield with supplier, resulting in a cost savings of ~$80K per plane- maintained a 100% on time release rate for production releases- facilitated critical design changes to 737 cockpit structure, leading to two permanent design improvements- was selected for the Airplane Systems Management Development Program (ASMDP).

As a design engineer on the 787 program, I worked to release mechanical designs for interior commodities to directly support aircraft production, focusing on closets and VCS units.
