Responsible for municipal odd-lot trading for FAs, including sourcing and identifying opportunities in assigned markets, maintaining a consistent odd lot inventory for FAs and clients, manage risk within assigned limits for positions, building bond ladders, creating and proposing client swaps. Also responsible for marketing municipal bonds to the retail branch network by disseminating product and market information and by following-up on the merchandising of available securities. Education of the sales force through branch office communications and visits in order to generate sales ideas.Key Accountabilities: • Communicate with traders at other firms to identify opportunities and initiate trades.• Work with BB&T traders, in coordinated efforts aimed at increasing distribution• Act on behalf of firm receiving bid lists, determining and submitting bids for identified securities • Operate within trading authorizations as promulgated by management, and within regulatory requirements and BB&T Written Supervisory Procedures• Assist in maintaining accurate revenue records, inventory control and regulatory reporting
