I am the social media and marketing manager for the Veteran Student Services Center on campus at California State University San Marcos. My duties include:Content creation, dissemination, and marketing for all Veteran services we provide on campus. I have created a streamlined standard operating procedure for this position, to ensure smooth transition to anyone seeking this role.

• Assist in accounting for unit funds, create and manage fiscal budget, maintain reliable financial reports.• Fostered a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events to include creative planning, risk management, budgeting, location, accessibility, inclusion, and event specific needs like theme and vendors. • Network with variety of donor vendors to establish working relationships to create and support events for up to 500 people. Donating vendors included religious group food organizations, veteran organizations, the YMCA, Ladies of the Vine charity, the United Service Organizations and more. I used attention to detail and organization tactics to ensure the event meets and exceeds expectations. • Manage entirety of events for 500 people to include passing communication during events and addressing potential problems that may arise like vendor issues or equipment failure. • Responsible for establishing team leads for events that would manage different aspects of the event to include security, setup/takedown, entertainment, cuisine, safety, childcare, and communication. • Plan, schedule and execute recurring monthly event for 40+ people to include Ladies of the Vine charity baby shower for new or expecting moms in the Marine Corps family.

-Documented well over 30 training exercises, 20 ceremonies, and other special events.-Content created has been published on multiple platforms reaching well over 3 million people across the globe.-Take previously recorded videos and turn them into a marketable product. -Most viewed video has one million views on a single platform. -Knowledgably operated Cannon Mark III, and Sony mirrorless cameras. - Same day turn around for most products.

• I planned, scheduled, marketed, and created content for the official Marine Corps social media account responsible for covering the entire United States Indo-Pacific Command region, III Marine Expeditionary Force photo, video and written stories and disseminate them to world news agencies and their media platforms, focusing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and official III Marine Expeditionary Force Marines.mil website reaching and average of a million people each week through shares, likes, and cross posting.• Communicate in a professional, but unique social media “voice” for each client; directly aligned with the clients’ thoughts, leadership and content platform. I turned each client’s idea into a visual representation of the message they want to disseminate to the world. For example, a drunk driving PSA or an Okinawa Island adventure package.• Researched social media platforms every day engaging with our target audiences by sharing content, finding ways to grow Marine Corps social followership, and improve overall engagement by staying up to date on social media trends and growing knowledge of digital platforms.• I handled social media crisis response, responsible for being the direct line of communication to the people and media inquiry while disseminating all immediate press releases pertaining to incidents in a timely manner. • Manage a team of 5 -15 subordinates, delegate content creation as well as edit all media before dissemination.

• I was responsible for delegating position requirements for other parking lot attendants based on business needs; i.e. gate, events, crosswalk, etc. to ensure proper staffing is in place throughout the locations and that all staff receive appropriate breaks. • Process all cash or credit card payments for parking charges that include collecting payments for parking, reconciling the balances and preforming opening / closing duties.• Promoted great customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.• Assist CEO and Vice President with various tasks.
