I was drawn to live events from a young age. Starting with my very first position as an experience host, planning themed celebrations for friends, and finally to more than 10 years ago when a chance encounter helped me explore a professional career in the events industry.Several years ago, I was actively looking for a new challenge – something more dynamic and creative - and then, one beautiful summer afternoon in Alaska, I was recruited for an opportunity to provide program support for a luxury incentive trip. Two weeks later, armed with bug spray and a sense of adventure, I made my way to the heart of the Girdwood valley for a weeklong work-a-thon in Alaska’s backcountry. It was there, on the back of a spirited horse called Crescent Moon, that I finally recognized my passion for creating and experiencing impactful moments. I spent the next several years planning and producing more than 70 events and incentives at a small but mighty, boutique destination management company. I’ve had the pleasure of helping clients across a variety of industries – from oil and gas to telecommunications to financial services – achieve their objectives via live events and experiences. This is where I really fell in love with the positive impact events can have on business outcomes, workplace culture, and whole communities. When I moved to Colorado five years ago, I knew I wanted to continue exploring the relationship between live events and the customer/employee experience. Currently, I support the employee experience of more than 500 distributed employees across two divisions of Swisslog Healthcare through clear, concise communications, virtual and in-person events, and curated employee initiatives.
