As the Procurement Manager for Bulk Materials, I am entrusted with the strategic responsibility of sourcing and managing both local and imported raw materials critical to our operations. - Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Actively identify and evaluate potential suppliers for bulk raw materials, considering factors such as quality, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and adherence to sustainability standards.-Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong and mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new suppliers, fostering collaboration, open communication, and adherence to contractual obligations.-Sourcing Strategy Development: Formulate and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy that aligns with organizational goals and optimizes the procurement process for bulk materials.-Cost Management: Strategically negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules while ensuring cost efficiencies.-Quality Assurance: Collaborate closely with quality control and assurance teams to establish and enforce stringent quality standards for sourced materials, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.-Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain, implementing risk mitigation strategies to maintain continuity of material supply.-Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, global supply dynamics, and changes in material pricing, adapting sourcing strategies accordingly.-Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with local and international laws and regulations, including import/export requirements.-Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and production, to synchronize procurement efforts with operational demands.
