I led US WorldMeds' transition from on-premises technologies to the cloud, using Office 365 E3 licenses. I designed Modern Communication and Team sites, developed a plan for migrating videos to MS Stream, and provided training for managing projects within MS Teams. Ernst & Young SharePoint Migration Project, London, UKErnst & Young (EY), one of the 'Big Four' accounting firms with operations in over 150 countries, embarked on a massive transition from on-premise SharePoint farm to Office 365 vNext tenant. As part of the global Microsoft Consulting Services team, I contributed to this expansive project comprising over 100 team members working across various 'work streams' in multiple countries.Key responsibilities and accomplishments:Term Store Synchronization: As a Senior Developer, my primary focus was to engineer a cloud-based synchronization process that kept the Office 365 Term Store in sync with the on-premise term store. This ensured data consistency during the migration process, which was critical for business continuity and data integrity.Managed Metadata Management: I was responsible for managing and overseeing the metadata for the project to ensure its accuracy and consistency.Technical Leadership and Development: My role expanded to include developing certain components of the sync job using C#, SharePoint Client-Side Object Model (CSOM) API, and Azure Service Bus architecture. This also involved ensuring code quality, developing resilient jobs, and establishing a robust and flexible logging solution.The success of this project is a testament to technical expertise, collaborative efforts, and diligent planning. This was a migration project of an existing SharePoint 2007 "public-facing" website to a modern, mobile friendly SharePoint 2013 website. As the SharePoint architect and lead developer, my role entailed "solutioning" the new SP2013 web site to be mobile friendly, fast loading, and easier to manage for the 20+ content managers spanned across multiple county departments. The ensure mobile friendly pages and optimized speeds, client-side frameworks like angularJS, Bootstrap, and jquery plugins were leveraged. To ensure security, restAPI endpoints were custom created to limit exposure to the OOB restAPIs and potential malicious activity. To "jump" SharePoint versions (e.g. SP2007 to SP2013) we leveraged a couple of migration tools (using ShareGate and Content Matrix tools). These tools not only help migrate the existing content in a "clean way", but also enabled our team to enhance the Information architecture by leveraging content types, removing "local" site columns, and enhancing the site structure.

Current project working with global multi-billion dollar chemical client to leverage SharePoint 2010 as an Internet facing platform for 15 multilingual market sites spanned across multiple countries on four different continents. SharePoint solution leveraged BCS (for backend application and services integration), Profile Services for personalization and account preferences (combo of CRM and SAP data), Claims Based Authentication with SQL membership and role providers ( for custom registration and validation process), SP timer jobs (for backend processing, data sync, and profile service updates), SOA with integration with enterprise CRM, e-Marketing system, SQL replication, and other backend applications/services. Responsible for technical architecture, design, infrastructure, technical team deliverables, and technical schedule. Design, and/or developed a suite of custom visual studio web-parts for various custom features as in search, product detail, e-commerce/shopping cart, registration, and jQuery driven grids/lists, image rotators, and others.

As the architect and lead developer, my role entailed creating a solution that would replicate the custom job seeker application functionality from the SP2007 farm to the SP2013 farm leveraging the newer features in SharePoint 2013. The data migration for all web-applications was done using Sharegate Migration Tool. Once migrated, the custom web parts, masterpage, and page layouts had to be refactored to reference the newer SharePoint dlls. Some custom web parts and event receivers had to be refactored to be more efficient by leveraging some of the newer features in SharePoint 2013 (i.e. search, term store, and custom display templates for search results web parts). For the public facing site collection, there was a custom registration, login and “forgot password” process that leveraged SQL FBA as the membership and role provider.

As a senior SharePoint Developer, I was responsible for creating the technical design and developing the authentication and authorization processes for the multi-tenant extranet solution. Unlike most traditional SharePoint farms, this extranet required a multi-tenant SharePoint farm installation & configuration where each client had their own “slice” of the SharePoint service applications and partition in the content database (for the multiple site collections in the tenant). As the Lead Developer responsible authentication and authorization, I had to design and develop the custom people picker (e.g. customization to integrate with the claims token); custom login & “forgot password” pages/process; and security configuration settings for the new tenant provisioning process.

SharePoint 2010 architect to assist in SharePoint 2010 active directory migration. Blue-printed the new infrastructure farm, AD migration strategy for SharePoint applications, service applications, and web apps and associated site collections. Assisted in SharePoint migration strategy, tasking, and project planning. Purpose of the project was to migrate the mission critical SharePoint intranet farm to the new AD with minimum downtime.

Senior SharePoint Developer to create a suite of custom Visual Studio web parts to work with multilingual multi-tenant SharePoint Extranet farm. Developed custom ADFS membership and roles provider to enable multiple tenants (with different ADs) to authenticate using their in-house active directory IDM. Developed email template management system which supported multiple languages, messaging manageable by tenant admins, and leveraged event receivers fired by Nintex Workflow process.
