Pradeep B. Deshpande is Professor Emeritus in and former Chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Louisville, and founder President and Chief Executive Officer of Louisville-based Six Sigma and Advanced Controls (SAC). He has five decades of academic and full-time industrial experience. He has made certain discoveries in the last two decades that can transform businesses, educational institutions, and societies. A few of them are: (1) The performance in the external world is intricately linked to our internal (emotional) excellence. Boost internal excellence and the performance will zoom. The availability of a measurement device for emotions means progress can be audited, and (5) The scientific framework for external and internal excellence is the pathway for a better and more peaceful world. I have made presentations on these topics in several countries including the Parliament of Peru and the Prime Minister’s Office in India, NITI Aayog and others always to enthusiastic audiences.
