Managed research projects and resources varying in scope from concept through completion. Managed project teams, students, and external contractors as well as worked closely with senior administrators and executives on campus. Navigated sensitive files through to completion while building consensus amongst the team members. Facilitated workshops and meetings related to research opportunities and skill building. Conducted best-practices/benchmarking research and scans and used results to inform research processes, services, and relationship management.Accomplishments included:• Created a cross-institutional process based on user feedback for the development, review and submission of large-scale research proposals and projects. • Oversaw the development and submission of research infrastructure proposals while successfully managing and motivating staff resources using a matrix management approach.• Managed a national conference on community-university partnerships (C2UExpo), which established Carleton as a leader in engaged- research, scholarship and knowledge mobilization.

Establish and support social innovation on campus and in the community by facilitating relationships that encourage talent advancement and idea exploration. Created and directed Carleton’s first social innovation centre (1125@Carleton). Manage the centre’s operations, oversee staff and volunteers, lead project teams, provide mentorship to students, faculty and community, and liaise with senior management and executives, at Carleton and in government, private industry and the larger community. Conduct best-practices/benchmarking research and scans to provide responsive, innovative program content, projects, and services to Carleton community. Accomplishments included: • Co-creation, design, and development a leadership experience/curriculum for youth wanting to have a social impact (Born Social Fellowship). Resulted in 3 new social enterprises, 1 project influencing campus policy and 3 social awareness movements on campus.• Co-created a design thinking studio (CoLab10X) with IBM's Centre for Advanced Studies that resulted in the development of a new social innovation ecosystem in Ottawa.• Designed, delivered and facilitated design thinking workshops for faculty, staff, students, and community partners.• Co-founded Carleton Connected, a campus community of professional staff that shares best practices and encourages resource sharing.• Co-editor of a special edition of the Technology In Management (TIM) Journal on knowledge mobilization.
