Jon Friedman, CVP of Design and Research for Microsoft 365, is a passionate product maker, design thinker, leader and speaker. He has been a pivotal figure in Microsoft’s design evolution over the past 20 years, developing new consumer products from the ground up, as well as reimagining existing products used by millions of people around the globe. In his current role, Jon leads design and research initiatives that aim to revolutionize how we create, communicate & collaborate. Under his leadership, innovative experiences including Copilot, have come to life. Jon relentlessly pursues building products that are both elegantly designed and loved by users. He is renowned for his visionary leadership, his willingness to take an active role in the design process, and his authentic, human-centered style. While his roots are originally in industrial design, his fascination with interaction design has shaped his career and forged an understanding of how to build delightful, seamless experiences.   A thought leader in the design realm, Jon has been featured in publications such as FastCo, The Wall Street Journal and The Verge, where he has shared his insights on everything from creating design culture in our new hybrid world to the evolving future of modern work.  Above all, Jon’s greatest joy in life comes from spending time with his family, including his wife, Miriam, and their three children.
