I have actively contributed to the development of the UX design discipline within my local community, with a strong focus on fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the creation of user-centric experiences for products and services.My main responsibilities:Organizing impactful UX events for both professionals and the general public, such as the UX Forum and World Usability Day.Responsibilities:- Facilitating professional education and growth in the field of UX through UX Bootcamps.- Connecting UX professionals from academia and the business sector through regular events.- Spearheading the adoption of verified standards, principles, and methodologies within the Slovak UX community.- Crafting and implementing a strategic vision for the future of the Slovak User Experience Association (SUXA).

As the Head of Design at Sygic, I led and nurtured a high-performing design team, fostering collaboration and growth. My role extended beyond design; I crafted and executed product strategies that drove innovation and customer-centricity. I also evangelized the importance of understanding our customers deeply.

I designed user experiences for the Sygic GPS navigation app, where I validated business ideas through exceptional design and user insights. I led design projects from concept to implementation in an agile environment, collaborating closely with product management, business, development and marketing teams to define a roadmap and enhance the app's user experiences. I conducted research on user needs, pain points, gains, and behaviors.

My journey began as a copywriter, but I quickly recognized the need for more complexity in my work. This experience led me to transition into UX Designer, Researcher, and Project Manager roles.My work spanned a diverse range of projects, serving both small startups, including SaaS providers, and established companies specializing in e-commerce solutions. Central to our design process was the active involvement of clients and customers, ensuring a co-creative approach to problem-solving.My primary responsibilities included:- Conducting in-depth research to identify the intersection between business needs, human requirements, and technological possibilities and limitations.- Facilitated workshops to foster collaboration and creativity.- I defined project scopes and outlined Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to guide project direction.- Developed and tested both paper and digital prototypes to validate design concepts.- Iteratively refined solutions based on user feedback and data-driven insights.- Collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, marketers, anthropologists, and visual designers, to bring projects to fruition.My time at Lighting Beetle allowed me to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, applying my multifaceted skills to drive successful design outcomes.
