About Desi Isaacson
I have been writing creatively and as a journalist for more than ten years. I wrote for my college newspaper, then went on to hold editorial internships at a variety of different magazines, newspapers, and blogs such as the Riverfront Times, Down East Magazine, and River Styx Literary Magazine. At these stops I had the opportunity to publish breaking news, local interest stories, restaurant news and reviews, and sports articles. After graduation, I continued as a Freelance Contributor to several publications, most prominently GOLF.com. During the pandemic, I even spent seven months working on a golf course construction team and chronicled the experience for GOLF.com. While working as a Coordinator in the Education Technology space at Noodle, I helped launch and produced a podcast about higher education, honing audio editing and production skills. I have spent the last two years as a full-time graduate student studying English Literature at Georgetown University and will graduate in May 2024. My Master’s thesis was an exploration of the inherent shamelessness of writing metafictional texts.
