I provide individual counseling to help identify students needs. I provide group work on topics such as anger management, social emotional learning , and academic learning. I provide referrals for students needing additional resources in regards to their academics, mental health, basic needs. I provide curriculum learning for independent living skills and prevention services. I'm involved in the implementation for Individual Education Plans (IEP), 504 plans, and behavior plans. I am a team player, provide wrap around services, and advocate for students and families. I provide mediation counseling, bullying prevention, and equality education practices. I set up Suicide Awareness walks, Anti bullying Halloween Carnival, Family Engagement nights, and assist with Science and Literacy Nights. I engage families to participate in school activities and provide resources to outside agencies when needed.

I provided one on one counseling to children involved in the Indian Child Welfare system. I was learning the sand tray method, as its a non intrusive way to communicate with abused children, who have a hard time with trust, appropriate touch, and expressing their emotions. I have also provided one on one counseling with the parents of these children, engaging them in appropriate and healthy ways to bond/nurture/parent their child. I also worked on their personal and childhood issues. I used Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Guided Imagery. I was learning and receiving superversion on sand Tray Therapy and also learning about Equine Therapy.
