Operations Manager
CurrentOperational Excellence & Internal Resilience- Design and refine scalable operational systems, processes, and policies to maximize efficacy, ensure alignment with the mission, and provide accessibility for staff- Monitor relationships with vendors, ensuring that contracts, negotiations, and deliverables are handled appropriately- Supervise a team of program associates, events coordinators, and/or contract specialistsOrganizational Culture and Human Resources- Implement people-focused leadership and management, particularly in organizational change with a focus on culture-building, operational enhancements, and improving overall organizational effectiveness- Work closely with Admin/HR staff to design, implement, and refine onboarding, performance management, staff engagement, employee benefits, policy implementation, and offboarding procedures- Identify trainings, tools, and professional development opportunities to maximize the growth, learning, and expertise of all staff- Drive logistical coordination for conferences, quarterly retreats, social events, and group activities- Lead employee-facing internal communications such as events, offerings, upcoming trainings and conferences- Recognize, celebrate, and support employees through highs (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) and lows (loss, stress, etc.)- Lead feedback loops, including employee surveys and focus groups, to gain insights into cultural strengths and areas for improvement.Technology and Information Management- Maintain and optimize workflow tool, including project management platforms and the MS Office Suite of tools as the key administrator for technology tools- Regularly review storage environments, documentation, and information management tools to eliminate inconsistencies, redundancies, and other potential sources of confusion- Develop plan to harden digital security measures and educate remote staff on best practices to safeguard company assets in a remote environment
