I am responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the foundations accounting department. This includes creating and implementing financial policies and procedures, overseeing the preparation of financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Additionally, I work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support. Our mission is to provide programs that facilitate a smooth and successful transition for our nation’s Combat-Wounded Heroes and Gold Star families. Our programs focus on housing, transportation, outdoor recreation, and leadership development. We have proudly awarded over 900 mortgage-free and gift-tax free homes as well as over 130 payment free vehicles to Wounded Heroes and Gold Star Families, in all 50 States. In addition to the homes or vehicles, the families receive financial literacy training; 3 years for home recipients and 1 year for vehicle recipients.

Administrator/ Accountant for MCA-SMACNA, Local 142 & Local 67 Unions & Chapter Coordinator for the TX NEBB.I handled all the accounts receivable and accounts payable for 4 Companies – including all bank reconciliations, yearly budget, journal entries, reporting taxes and payroll. I assisted the Executive Director on all events hosted by the MCA-SMACNA. I also assisted in Union/ Contractor negotiations and wrote contracts. I was responsible for two monthly meetings for 30+ board members and their guests. I oversaw all 4 companies’ annual external audits to confirm we followed applicable laws and regulations. I played a critical role in ensuring the union’s financial health and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. I helped union leadership make informed decisions regarding resource allocations, financial planning, and risk management. This enabled the unions to better serve its members.As Chapter Coordinator of the National Environmental Balancing Bureau, I was responsible for promoting the NEBB organization, recruiting new members, organizing & hosting training events for the members of the local chapter. I served as a liaison between the national NEBB chapter and our local chapter. I hosted chapter meetings. I tested all candidates to advance them in their careers as well as certifying and re-certifying TX NEBB companies.
