My name is Desiree Solis, a fourth year undergraduate student at the University of California, Merced studying Cognitive Science and Psychology. I am a UC LEADS scholar currently working as a research assistant in the Brain and Body Lab at UCLA. Outside of my research interests, I am the Vice Chair of the ASUCM Campus Activities Board and the President of the Eta Sigma Chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity.I am passionate about mental health, cognitive neurodevelopment, and the performing arts. I am resilient, diligent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. I intend to pursue a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, primarily looking to serve and advocate for underrepresented populations.
