International Journal of Operations & Production Management's (IJOPM) mission is to publish leading-edge, innovative research that has the potential to significantly advance the field of Operations and Supply Chain Management, theoretically and practically. Drawing on the experiences of both manufacturing and service industry sectors, in both private and public settings, the journal has become a widely respected resource in a complex and increasingly important field in business management.The editorial team consists of: Jens Roehrich (Bath University, UK), Hugo Lam (University of Liverpool, UK), Martin Schleper (NEOMA Business School, France) as editors in chief, with Byung-Gak Son (Bayes Business School, UK) and myself as editorial assistants.

I am a tenured assistant professor at the Organizational Behaviour, Change Management & Consultancy (OBCC) research group, which is embedded in the Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems section of the High-tech Business and Entrepreneurship department at the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences (https://www.utwente.nl/en/bms/iebis/foe/OBCC/). As an engaged scholar, I contribute practically-relevant academic research and teaching.Together with my PhD students, I develop knowledge and insights on achieving Sustainable Operational Excellence. Examples are: multi-level leader and team behaviors for lean and green operations management, change processes and leadership for the effective adoption of Industry 4.0/Smart Industry, and work-floor team dynamics across national cultures. With this research, I intend to improve workplace performance and contribute to conditions for employee thriving. I tend to bridge the domains of Organizational Behaviour, Change Management and Operations Management and publish in various types of academic top journal.In my research I tend to use a mix of methods including video-analysis of workplace behavior, skin conductance to capture physiological arousal, longitudinal mixed-methods field studies, surveys, interviewing, focus groups, Delphi studies, and systematic literature reviews.In terms of teaching I steer student's active engagement and contributing to improving the inner workings of our own university towards operational excellence, by using real-life UT cases as part of challenge-based learning. I am teaching and co-coordinating the Master Honours Change Leaders programme, the Bachelor Honours Processes of Change track, the MSc Business Administration track 'International Management & Consultancy'. I am also involved in the Transdisciplinary Master-Insert Shaping Responsible Futures, the Energy Transition Perspectives minor, and the Going Dutch minor.

Elected co-leader of the Operations & Supply Chain Management (OSCM) division executive committee,Academy of Management (AOM; www.aom.org, the most prestigious academic management conferencein the world). This position concerns a 5-year leadership track with rotating roles: Professional Development Workshop Chair (2024), Scholarly Program Chair (2025), Division Chair Elect and Sponsorship (2026), Division Chair (2027), and Past Division Chair (2028). At the 28th of March 2008 I graduated on the topic of Lean leadership. This final research project, conducted for advisory firm House of Performance, focuses on the values and behaviors of highly effective middle managers in Lean organizations. I presented the findings at the 11th International Society for the Study of Work Values and Behaviors conference in June 2008, Singapore. Mark: 9 (out of 10).

For Rabobank Nederland, a major Dutch bank, an evaluative study on the satisfaction of stakeholders with the annual report 2006 was executed. An advice was provided to change the look, structure, content of the annual report. The findings have been presented at the bi-annual student conference for Communication Science in June 2007, where it won the price for “Best research presentation”. Mark: 8 (out of 10).

I have executed a practical research for a printing office. Based on the findings of this qualitative research, I have improved the text of a handbook.Additionally, I have assisted the owners of Salt & Pepper Communication with the acquisition of new projects by accompanying them during acquisition visits and writing project proposals.

During one year I have full-time managed a team of four other AEGEE-Enschede members in the board. I was responsible for the representation of the association towards companies, organizations within the University and within the European network of AEGEE-Europe, the financial position and approximately 400 members. Additionally, I supervised the organization of the "Spring Agora 2005", a conference for 800 European students. Moreover, I was responsible for the team, internationalisation policy both within the association as at University level, housing and the strategic plan.
