Structured as a L3C, we give 51% of profit to help homeless children in Charlotte, NC. I work as a volunteer with a core group of leaders to design and create apparel, watches, and other merchandise to brand and sell. As a project manager, I handle product orders, manage interns, coordinate shipments, and leverage assets to increase efficiency of merchandise handling. We also market and advertise the apparel, predominately on social media, to bring awareness to the problem of childhood homelessness in North Carolina and the United States. On the non-profit Foundation side of GIVE FIFTY ONE, I aid volunteers in event planning and operations management for large fundraisers. Fundraisers within the last calendar year have raised over $25,000, not including apparel sales from the L3C.
