I am a member of the firm’s Commercial, Conveyancing and Probate Group. I am admitted to practice in Ireland and also in England & Wales.I previously worked for four years with Skadden Arps in their Brussels office as an Attorney/Legal Specialist working in the European and international antitrust and regulatory field of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. During my time with the firm I gained in-depth experience in numerous international business transactions. These transactions would have necessitated notifications to numerous national competition law authorities, including The Irish Competition Authority. In addition, I was a member of the legal team involved in advising corporations who were accused of anti-competitive activity by the European Commission.I received my Honours Degree in Law and European Studies from the University of Limerick in 1999 and an LLM (with merit) in Corporate and Commercial Law in 2000 from Queen Mary & Westfield, University of London. Furthermore, I successfully completed the Law Society’s Diploma in Trust and Estate Planning in May 2008 and am a full member of the Irish and Worldwide Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. I am authorised to use the designation TEP and therefore be described as a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner.
