My goal is to build the extraordinary; I have no interest in mediocre products that only partially deliver. I like our clients to feel that we offer something special.From a young age I gravitated toward academia and enjoy learning about and understanding complex systems. I have an inquiring mind and do a great deal of reading, particularly about science and economics. This dovetails well with my interest in business and the development of products that serve the business world, in particular in the financial arena.I manage the design, implementation and support of our software product, Quintessence. I am a keen problem solver and focus heavily on the optimisation of processes. My work on Quintessence combines my interests in maths, business and finance and marries well with my skills. I started my career in IT, initially working on seismic networks, and then went on to become a software engineer and analyst specialising in finance and investment management.When not hard at work, I enjoy the outdoors and travelling. I am a person who loves action and would rather spend my leisure time playing sport than sitting about (except when I’m playing poker).
