The COE program (formerly known as DII COE) is a program mandated by the U.S Congress, administered by the Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and developed by Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) through subcontractors such as Northrop Grumman. The COE kernel software sits on top of various operating systems on all computers throughout the military to ensure compatibility, ease training requirements, and secure the computing infrastructure.• Developed and debugged code for JPL’s DII COE program. This is used in the COE kernel, patch, and toolkit, which is mandated by Congress for use by every branch of the military for all computer systems.• Re-wrote C-based DII COE runtime tools and APIs in Java / Swing for cross platform compatibility.• Extensively wrote Perl and NT batch scripts to maximize automation in the Windows integration and build processes.• Researched new technologies to improve the COE including database engine replacement, Linux security enhancements, and new OS versions.• Incorporated military-strength security standards into COE configurations.• Completed course on Rational Robot and supported the Test Team on automated-testing activities.• Documented various aspects of COE site integration.

The Taipei Rapid Transit is a series of underground and elevated metro and VAL systems throughout the Taipei metropolitan area. The TRTS is one of the most expensive rapid transit systems ever constructed. Since its completion, the TRTS has reduced travel time from one end of Taipei to the other from up to three or more hours to less than an hour, and has been effective in relieving some of Taipei's traffic congestion problems.• Developed and debugged code for Taipei Rapid Transit Systems, a $4 million software project to develop a real-time control and monitoring systems for extensions to Taiwan’s largest light rail system.• Promoted from junior programmer to team lead of the project in just one and a half years.• Maintained legacy SQL database on a VMS platform.• Designed and implemented GUI improvements for monitoring of train depot.• Created and modified VMS command procedures to automate build process.• Traveled internationally and domestically for product installation, configuration, and testing.

It was heavily used for door games and its message boards but also featured extensive file downloads and an online matchmaker. I ran the BBS during my high school and college years. • Licensed WWIV source code and modified it using Borland C compiler to implement custom features.• Heavily wrote DOS batch scripts and OS/2 REXX scripts.• Optimized data transmission speeds using Hayes modem command set and various file transfer protocols. Later moved BBS to the internet for access via telnet.
