Slashed costs of layoff by 20% and improved employee satisfaction through working closely with clients to fully understand their business requirements and optimizing recruitment processes. Reduced turnover rate by actively listening to clients’ preferences beyond job descriptions and matching them with candidates’ personalities and/or working styles.

Filled 31 positions with outstanding employees for hiring managers in Ontario, Alberta, and Montreal. Promoted nine casual on-call positions to excellent candidates who wanted full-time job opportunities by finding out and emphasizing the positions’ selling points. Improved hiring manager satisfaction through actively listening to their preferences beyond job descriptions and using customized interview questions to screen candidates. Ensured sufficient manpower for busy season and reduced time spend on training by filling seven positions with skilled candidates within two weeks.

Filled 14 positions with talents in IT, finance, marketing, and project management fields. Improved 16 job descriptions through job analysis, which resulted in standardized criteria for recruitment, training, and performance appraisal. Made 2014 – 2015 Strategic HR Plan for recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and organizational development. Retained five team members as well as rebuilt their motivation and confidence to the organization by understanding their concerns and working together to solve the issues. Maintained and updated the human resources database for HR analytics and decision making.

Improved the Institute’s research capacity by 14% and quality of working environment by 23% through managing RFP for 217 projects, including equipment purchasing, application development, and construction. Improved the Institute’s reputation and bargaining power by building long-term and trusted business relationships with bidders as well as solving interdepartmental conflicts. Assisted the Director in improving work processes by setting work plans and rearranging tasks for staff absences and other urgencies.
