Jean Dessain is Managing Partner at Reacfin and professor of Finance & Machine Learning.With over 30 years of experience in Quantitative Finance and Machine Learning, Jean Dessain is the Managing Partner at Reacfin and a professor of Finance and Machine Learning. He has a proven track record in assisting companies with strategic and financial management, Asset Liability Management (ALM), risk management, model development and validation, capital raising, and the application of Machine Learning in finance.At Reacfin, Jean provides expert advice on ALM, market risks, and AI applied to finance, with a current focus on explainable AI and credit risk. His expertise helps financial institutions navigate complex financial landscapes and implement advanced technological solutions.Jean is currently a guest professor at UCLouvain, where he teaches "Management of Banks and Financial Institutions." From 2010 to 2014, he was a professor of Finance and Machine Learning at IESEG School of Management, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of finance professionals and publishing several peer-reviewed articles in esteemed journals and conferences. He also earned a Certificate in Machine Learning from Stanford University in 2020.
