I coordinated operations of Nutrition, Mental Health and Sexual and Gender Based Violence Prevention Programs for Somalian Refugees in Dolo Ado.

I managed more than 14 projects of 1.5 Million USD annual spending, under Wollo Cluster Program Office, focusing in Health and Nutrition, WaSH, Livelihood, Resilient Agriculture, Climate Change, Education, Child Sponsorship Operations. The projects target children, families and surrounding communities to unlock their potential make them resilient.

As Field Program Manager, I oversaw overall program management, grant and operations of the Field Office. Furthermore, I supported the Deputy Country Director in strategy and program development. I managed construction and furnishing of youth friendly service centers in town and in a health center facilities, oversaw community mobilizations in reproductive health, clinical service delivery in reproductive health and youth and health care providers capacity building trainings.

I coordinated a national flagship HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) prevention USAID funded project of 40 Million USD for five years nationwide. I was responsible to follow up, support and coordinate international and local partners working for the project in 29 towns across Amhara and northern part of Oromia regions. The project brought to a partnership public and private health facilities, communities and government sector offices in every towns to provide a network of prevention, care and treatment services for HIV and STI for key populations. I oversaw implementation of Community Mobilization, Care and Support, Behavioral Change, Economic Strengthening, Sub-granting, Gender Mainstreaming and Community Dialogue and Local Capacity Building strategies as core components of the program.

I legally represented the agency in Ethiopia. I represented the agency at United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) for the agency's special consultative status. I supervised and directed all the interventions and health facilities of the agency located in Addis Ababa, Amhara, Tigray and Oromia regions. I ratified reports and submitted to government signatories and donors like UNFPA, UNICEF and foundations based in US.

I mobilized Community Based Organizations (CBOs), NGOs and government sector offices to join hands against HIV/AIDS. I managed development of consolidated HIV/AIDS plan and coordinated, monitored and evaluated, compiled and reported all interventions and projects implemented in the area. I organized and facilitated various trainings, workshops and social mobilization events. I established networks, served as board member and chairperson for various associations and NGOs based in the locality. I appraised grant proposals submitted to HAPCO, carried out sub-granting to local NGOs and CBOs and oversaw implementations.
