I am passionate about supporting children and families through challenging circumstances. Currently, I serve as a Case Assistant at The Baby Fold, where I collaborate with Child Welfare Specialists and Supervisors to support children and families in foster care. My role involves facilitating family visitations, providing transportation, and offering advocacy and support through trauma-informed care. I am committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children, assisting families in navigating community resources, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.My experiences in this role have honed my ability to communicate effectively, manage complex situations, and promote collaborative problem-solving, all while considering the diverse perspectives of the individuals I serve. These skills are transferable to my long-term career goals in higher education and social work.I hold a Master’s in Social Work and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, which have equipped me with a deep understanding of human behavior, social systems, and intervention strategies. My aspiration is to transition into roles within higher education, such as an Academic Advisor or Academic Coordinator, particularly working with student-athletes to support their academic and personal development. I am passionate about using my social work background to guide students in achieving their goals.
