My name is Destiny Jackson and I am a Black, queer creative from Washington, D.C.!I have a BS in Visual Communication from Bowie State University, where I concentrated in Digital Cinema and Time-Based Media. I also studied Mandarin and Western-Asian Culture Studies at Heilongjiang University as part of the HBCU-China Study Abroad Scholarship program during undergrad.As the Technical Video Editor and Administrative Lead at The Bowie Community Media Corporation, I apply my strong technical, creative, and production skills by bringing the station's producer's shows to life. I also manage the daily operations of BCMCs YouTube page, log producer shows that have been sent to airing, and work one-on-one with producers to provide expertise and help with various production needs. I am a visual storyteller who specializes in photo, video, and filmmaking through personal projects, internships, and my freelancing work.
