He graduated as a pharmacist in 1995, and an industrial pharmacist/Qualified Person in 1997. He has an MBA from the Louvain School of Management. He creates his first DNA sequencing company, in 2004 DNAVision. Jean-Pol Detiffe was elected ‘Manager of the year’ for the Charleroi region. In 2007 his company got the Walloon prize for Technological Innovation and also first prize in the 5th edition of Enterprize. In November 2012 he funded OncoDNA. Over 5 years, OncoDNA has developed and commercialized a unique portfolio of four products based on the combination of molecular and protein analyses, leading to a comprehensive and integrated result that is aimed at helping oncologists to choose the right therapeutic approach for a given cancer patient.
