In early 2019, I was appointed manager of strategy and business development for Anglo American Metallurgical Coal division in Australia. In this role I’m responsible for developing and managing metallurgical coal strategic plan according to Anglo American’s guidelines and also for identification and capture of return accretive external transactions including any M&A and business development activities.Previous to Anglo American I worked for Vale for 11+ years in China, Australia and Brazil in several management positions in the iron ore and coal businesses.With more than 15 years’ experience in business development and strategic planning, I’ve participated and led several multi million-dollar M&A processes, project implementation and strategic planning cycles managing technical and economical evaluations / analysis, due diligence exercises and establishment of key partnerships. Prior to Vale, I was a Strategic Planning Consultant at Camargo Correa Cimentos (today Intercement), one of Brazil’s largest cement producers and top 10 in the world.I hold a Civil Engineering degree from Universidade Estadual Paulista – UNESP and a postgraduate degree in finance and investment analysis from Fundacao Getulio Vargas - FGVI also hold citizenship for both Australia and Brazil
