Hello, I'm Dev Arora, a second-year student at Saint Mary's University, where I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Accounting and Finance. My time at SMU has been driven by a keen interest in understanding financial systems and their role in business. I am passionate about the intricacies of financial markets, corporate finance, and the broader economic landscape.In addition to my studies, I work as a Research Assistant in the Accounting and Finance department. In this role, I contribute to projects that explore complex financial issues, conduct data analysis, and assist in the preparation of academic papers. This experience has honed my analytical skills and deepened my understanding of financial principles.I also enjoy volunteering and participating in extracurricular activities. I believe in using my skills to make a positive impact, whether it's through community service or student organizations. These experiences have not only been rewarding but have also helped me develop strong teamwork and communication skills.My technical skills include proficiency in financial analysis software, Excel, and various accounting tools such as Sage, Quickbooks etc. I am also familiar with data visualization and statistical analysis, which I have applied in my research projects.
