My role with this company was to create and handle customer accounts for a range of products, create brand awareness for the company, in tandem with managing relationships with vendors in Asia and Europe. 1) Created new customer accounts for a diverse range of products from mechanical seals to custom-made precision parts. This included various small to medium level companies*Handled the entire business development chain, from initial techno-commercial discussion to product finalization and order closing.*Procuring the parts from our vendor in Asia/Europe, after establishing clarity on the technical and product delivery requirements2) Handled coordination with the ‘Big Ticket’ large clients*Enrolling the company in the Vendor Registration Program*Conducting the initial technical discussions, for establishing the technical competence of the company*Understanding the application and product requirements and translating them to meaningful engineering data at the product level*Establishing the commercial viability of our offerings & handling the commercial negotiations for the price finalization*Working with our vendors to create a technical alignment on the parts; if required, providing technical support on the process modifications required for getting the correct part*Procuring the first-article samples from the vendors and getting the necessary approvals3) Developed over 15 Vendors in USA, Asia and Europe*Visited the facilities of the vendors identified and conducted a capabilities audit for evaluation of the manufacturing process, the capacities, the quality standards and controls followed*Used ISO9001-2000/2008/2015 standards for process evaluation*Shortlisted the vendors on basis of their stated capacities and capabilities, for use on Uniceram’s projects*Handled the technical discussions with the vendors, to ensure a fit between the client’s design and specifications and those provided by the vendors
