About Dev Chauhan

From encouraging mice and fish (*separately) to have a sex (which shows that Evolution has a healthy sense of irony) to investigating the really small hunks of Earth and whether they once had feelings! – So, yeah I come a long way to study of, like, chunks of stuffs at UNSW Sydney.Ahh, sometimes (recently) I do use NASA's statistical analyses of fatty acid's viscoelasticity in order to create a slightly softer boundary of protocell so that I can create a funky unit of life.PhD in (Chemistry for cowards), the Origin of Life and Astrobiology at the Australian Centre for Astrobiology, UNSW Sydney and the Skaggs Institute for Chemical Biology, Scripps Research, San Diego Most importantly, I am the one who expresses myself through dance. I love myself the most when I dance (oh, the same thing). Simply put, I am an Indian semi-classical (Kathak) and folk dancer!

The objective of this study is to determine a size of the microbial fuel cell needed for the treatment of waste water from textile industries. We analyzed the maximum electricity generation and the substrate concentration needed using the Monod−type equation which solved by the use of Newton−Raphson numerical method for non−linear equations in a FORTRAN 90 computer program.Textile wastewater with inoculated biomass is used as the analytic solution in MFC for textile effluent treatment. In cathode chamber, reduction of oxygen to water is achieved with algal culture. Multiple graphite electrodes in both chambers are used to increase the surface area for efficient electron transfer and energy generation. Show less
