From my academics, I have always been fascinated by neuroscience research and exploring new therapeutic approaches to neurological disorders. While continuing my Bachelor's in Zoology, I got my first research experience of comparing the Health Status of students and Healthcare service holders, where I learned about Clinical Data collection and biostatistics Analysis.During my Master's in Zoology, I was awarded a Prestigious Summer Research Fellow, where I got the opportunity to learn Basic Bioinformatics for comparing the diversity in genomics of Major Capsid Proteins of Bacteriophage infecting Non-Cholerae Vibrios, and also did my dissertation in isolation of probiotics from edible insect and its antimicrobial and anticancer property.After completing my master's, I was involved in developing vaccines against two fish viruses. During this time, my involvement in the primary cell culture of fish brains boosted my passion for neuroscience.This led me to investigate the role of neddylation in regulating mGLURs in presynaptic neurons in glutamate excitotoxicity during Hypoxia, and recently, I have engaged in discovering novel efficacy of phyto-metabolites in a therapeutic approach to prevent ferroptosis in glioblastoma.
