• Designed and developed a graphical user interface tool to automate the practitioners’ performance analysis and tuning process to identify performance issues in parallel applications and analyse their root-causes.

As part of my PhD research, I have proposed a lightweight and holistic performance analysis and tuning workflow for Message Passing Interface (MPI) parallelised applications. Evaluated its novelty across existing tuning approaches in the literature and also its utility with experienced HPC practitioners at IBM and ICHEC.

The internship aimed at gaining hands-on experience in porting and tuning scientific applications on to the Blue Gene/P platform and to perform empirical studies on HPC programmers' porting practices.
