How does one balance the analytical, precise nature of a career in technology with a mind attuned to philosophy? The beautiful thing is they can work fantastically in harmony. On any given day I am interacting with people from all sorts of cultures, careers, opinions, expertise. All connected through technology. People are still putting technology in one box, and people in another. We are all intertwined with technology just as much as we are with any other part of our culture! Ethical technology above all else, Web3 and beyond.My goal is always to think outside of the box, contrarian by nature I tend to see things in another light. When a room full of extremely bright folks, maybe smarter than myself even, get caught up in the details and miss the bigger picture. I want to be there, to challenge the constructs that have become the default. Technology is a constantly evolving and adapting industry. The people in it need to be too. We must leave no stone unturned, and go off the beaten path. That is where you will find the solutions that shatter norms, and defy expectations.A software engineer by profession, I have experience in so many different tech stacks, IDEs, operating systems, cloud solutions, CRMs. It may seem I lack consistency to those out of the loop. That would be far from the truth. I believe as an engineer it is my duty to have strong principles, strategies, and methodologies to maximize any and every tool that I can get my hands on. The resources are out there to digest and turn into brilliant software that simply works, period. The framework around the development of that software is my bread and butter. As the mechanic is to the automotive engineer. The programmer is to the software engineer. I profoundly believe understanding a system at every level is the only way to do it right.Along side my career in technology I am a craftsman by nature, a tinkerer of sorts. Whether it is putting up stick frame walls for Habitat for Humanity. Developing games at my cofounded company Pneuma Games, or creating content for internal, or external audiences. I am always first to put my hand in the center of the huddle. I believe in moving forward, growing, adapting, filling the world with knowledge and joy every way I can.
