CurrentProjects: At John Deere Technology centre till date-:Value engineering projects for tractors-:• Project planning, estimation and execution using project charters, project schedule and project tracking systems.• Design optimization ideas following VE methodology. • Cost Vs Worth analysis• Cross-functional group discussion and management.Engine Benchmarking for cost reduction ideas-:• Competitive Engine Benchmark with 6 competitor engines• Component Level Tear Down Analysis of systems and sub-systems • Detail Feature Based Data Capturing and Analysis• Creating data base at part level for Design, cost, Manufacturing and assembly• Value Gap Analysis in terms of Part Count, Cost and Weight• Value Engineering Workshop for Suppliers and functional teamsDPAR for WTTO components.ACHIVEMENTS-:• Timely completion of the project without failure.Visit to Factory in U.S.A (North Carolina)-:• Observed physical builds of the project.• Participated in grass cut quality evaluations at test sites (Turf Care & Florida Test Site)• Gained knowledge of belt drive design by working on Front Mower and Quik Trak current production issues• Supplier visits (Fisher Barton - blades, Myers – sheaves /pulleys, Hydro Tube – structural tubes, Brunner – cold heading / hardware, Opti-belt – belt (supplier visited TC) • Worked directly with cross-functional team members to help establish working relationship (welding, supply management, vehicle engineers, manufacturing, analysis, etc.)
