Perform geospatial data analysis and create cartographic visualizations for traffic safety issues in San Francisco. Design and maintain PostgreSQL/PostGIS database (transbase.sfgov.org) of citywide information related to transportation safety on an Amazon EC2 cloud service. Develop website (Geoserver/Openlayers/Extjs), ODBC, and ArcGIS connections to TransBASE for client consumption. Develop ETL scripts for automating data workflows. Work with inter-agency technical advisory committee to develop metadata standards and workflow processes to ensure data integrity. Provide data and technical support to the WalkFirst initiative to identify top vehicle-pedestrian injury corridors for specific engineering countermeasures. Provide GIS support on other pedestrian/bicycle safety grants and environmental heath projects as needed.

Collaborated with an array of different disciplines to perform geospatial analysis on project impacts. Designed maps and develop data inputs for EIR/EIS documents. Worked with Port of Oakland officials to collect and digitize legacy and institutional data for geospatial security web-viewer. Assisted in creating spatial inputs and data analysis for Health Impact Assessment of proposed congestion price zone in downtown San Francisco including designing and building a pedestrian geodatabase. Geocoded, analyzed and cartographically visualized pedestrian and bicycle collisions with automobiles using SWITRS data for baseline conditions report. Developed GIS/Excel model to identify high-risk pedestrian injury corridors for the Mayor’s Executive Pedestrian Safety Directive. Collected field data for the Pedestrian Environmental Quality Index (PEQI) to assess walkability of streets throughout San Francisco

Helped draft Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration for exception to Ocean Plan. Assisted with annual Mussel Watch data collection and analysis. Maintained Administrative Record of projects including filing, data entry, database management, library management and other administrative/clerical duties as needed.

Helped write, format and edit policy documents such as General Plan and Housing Element updates. Worked extensively researching and utilizing census data for analyzing affordable housing. Conducted HCD required research for housing issues such as impediments to affordable housing, background information, demographics, and local zoning ordinances. Assisted the Historic Preservation Committee’s update of the City of Woodland’s historic preservation ordinance through researching historic preservation law and OHP standards. Acted as Assistant Staff Secretary to the Historic Preservation Committee. Created map detailing location, year, and architectural style of Heritage Home Award recipients.
