I’m a news broadcast professional who served as a business news editor, news anchor, and senior producer at two of Africa's largest broadcast media houses.My involvement in the media fraternity extends beyond newsrooms into private-sector collaboration and training projects. I’ve worked closely on media training with some of the leading corporates in South Africa, coaching their executives and economists. I have also advised on proposals to corporates to complement their marketing and communication plans.In my most recent role, I was the Business Editor at eNCA, a leading 24-hour South African news channel based in Johannesburg. With my team of three producers and a reporter, I was ultimately accountable for the daily business bulletins on air, including video wall presentations, market commentary, and interviews. This saw my team and I work across functions with graphic design and the web team, among others. In addition, I was part of the management team, contributing to the channel's strategic direction and collaborating with executive leadership, marketing and comms, and HR. I have overseen major broadcast projects, including coverage of the annual National Budget and Central Bank rate decisions, following strict timelines, meticulous fact-checks, and seamless collaboration.My roles demanded daily content creation. From a technical perspective, I am competent in Final Cut Pro video editing and familiar with Canva software. I am proficient in messaging and storytelling – writing and presenting. Beyond my technical skills, I value my drive to build relationships and collaborate with others. These elements have been critical to the success of numerous projects I participated in.
