For most of my younger life I passionately played hockey at an elite level, but sadly my career was prematurely ended with a major injury at 18. Playing at that level hard-wired many skills into me including a great work ethic, leadership skills, and determination. Ending it that way left me with a sour taste in my mouth, a [literal] chip on my shoulder, and a hunger for success. I founded Acentian in 2018, a distributed platform built on the Ethereum blockchain to manage risk for digital assets through financial derivatives and debt obligations. I studied engineering sciences with a focus on artificial intelligence & machine learning, graduating with distinction / cum laude (honors). Since then I've led and contributed to complex financial engineering efforts that have managed and processed billions of dollars in adversarial environments. My core priority for four years+ from late 2018 -> 2023 was with my position at Staked, a thriving tech startup where I worked closely with the founders as employee #1, paving the way for industry-wide and institutional adoption of staking consensus systems, on-chain financial instruments and arbitrage. Staked was acquired at the end of 2021 in one of the largest acquisitions in industry history to date.I see and am excited about the potential technology such as cryptographic proofs and artificial intelligence have to revolutionize the way we live today. I'm currently focused on rewriting the global financial system.
