In May 2019, after two years of dedication to studies, resilience to challenges, and leadership training as a student at the University of Florida I will achieve my goal of graduating with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering specializing in solid Mechanics, design, and manufacturing. Now that my goal has almost been achieved, I strongly believe that my educational experience and determination can make me an essential part of your team. Since I devoted myself to school I may lack the work experience of others however I make up for it in my superior knowledge of material and set of skills developed, as shown in me acquiring my fundamentals of engineering certification. Through mastery of production, traditional, and nontraditional manufacturing course I am able to take desired designs, I myself created or others, and map out the optimal route of processing of materials, machining and finishing parts, and assembly into final product making sure to balance cost, time, and quality of the products made. My focus on material courses, notably those in ceramic and metal processing, allow me to better understand the properties of my raw stock materials throughout the manufacturing process and identify possible areas where these properties could be altered in any way during manufacturing and how to correct such altercations. Also the studying of sustainability, practices and materials, allows me to have the crucial ability of understanding of the environmental standards, repercussions and costs, and how to improve of manufacturing processes such that they meet green standards without scarifying the quality and cost of products. Lastly my studies in solid mechanics and fracture provide the essential understanding of the stresses and strains each component will undergo from manufacturing to its service over its lifetime.
