When I arrived in Manchester from Mumbai, I had a big dream - to start a new life, pursue my passion for food, and eventually, open my own restaurant. But the reality was much harder than I imagined. At that time, I had no connections, no support network, and no idea where to begin.What I had?Determination in my heart and a fire in my belly.I started at the bottom, working as a food shift leader, then moving up to supervisor and eventually manager, constantly learning and mastering new skills along the way.In 2015, when I joined Ziya Asian Grill as a manager, the restaurant was struggling. Sales and margins were low, and even on the busiest weekends, customers were scarce.I decided to make it work. I also knew that this would require hard work, dedication, and perseverance.So I worked hard. I worked long hours, build relationships with customers, and continued to learn and grow as a food enthusiast. Within 6 months, the restaurant was profitable and customers were happy.This hard work and dedication didn't go unnoticed, and I was offered the opportunity to run this restaurant and become the owner. I seized the opportunity and poured my heart and soul into the place, putting my own spin on traditional Indian dishes and creating a menu that was as unique as it was delicious.I expanded to a second location in 2019- Bhaji Pala, and then a third in 2021- Bhaji Pala in Pune. And now, I'm in the process of opening my fourth restaurant – a dream that once seemed impossible.Every challenge, every setback, and every success has led me to this moment – a moment where I can proudly say that I am a successful restauranteur, living my dream in the city of Manchester.
