Prior to founding Funding Door, he was Toorak Capital Partners' first hire as Head of Business Development and Loan Acquisitions, helping to spearhead the origination of more than $2.5 billion in loans for individuals investing in residential real estate. He was accountable for setting up and creating the initial operational infrastructure and led the sourcing and growth of lender relationships nationwide. Prior to Toorak, Devang was one of the initial hires at B2R Finance (Finance of America Commercial), a pioneering lender for single-family rental investors backed by the private equity firm Blackstone Group which originated over 1 bn during his time. Devang began his career at Barclays Capital, covering various Residential and Commercial whole loan products within the Securitized Products Group. Devang has also personally invested in real estate through fix and flips and owning several rental units, allowing him to relate to the needs of borrowers. Devang’s 16-year career and significant expertise in real estate allows him to excel in providing capital to fund the opportunities and successes of real estate investors. All his experiences aligned during the creation of Funding Door. Devang serves as CEO of Funding Door which means he bears many responsibilities: everything from the overall financial structure of the company to operations and sales. But most importantly, he has a deep understanding and appreciation of the relationship between the funding source and the customer.
