COMM 350: Entrepreneurial LeadershipCOURSE DESCRIPTION:The course examines the Entrepreneurial Leadership factors needed to bring about enterprise transformation or transition from start-up to ongoing operations and ultimately to a sustainable business model. Theories and related research are conducted within the course in addition to "best" and "worst" practices, using case studies, lectures, and outside speakers.

- Helping entrepreneurs with overall business plan development and strategy.- Helping entrepreneurs develop business strategies and mitigate risks around new products, services, and/or processes.- Perform training workshops on a consistent basis.- Coaching entrepreneurs through launching new businesses and growing or diversifying mature businesses.- Consulting on topics such as exporting, product development, raising capital, and federal contracting.- Connecting clients to key resources for technical and financial support.- Facilitating sessions to help entrepreneurs develop appropriate business models, business plans, financial projections, cash flow models, marketing plans, loan packaging, core processes, and customer relationships.- Conducting market research and competitive analysis.- Identifying and contacting small and medium-sized businesses, assessing their needs, and proposing and delivering solutions to enhance and expand their businesses.- KSBDC International Trade Team Lead; SBA certified Intermediate Export and Trade Counseling

- Oversee all activities of teams, ensure high quality programs, guide and lead the Program Management and Business Development Management teams. - Implement office policies, goals, objectives and procedures. - Manage relationship with major suppliers and vendors, ensure cost efficiency and manage monthly budget and cash flow for the office. - Manage partnerships, pursue business opportunities, and represent the company at events. - Oversee HR Management practices to align with company policy.

- Work alongside the company and its affiliates to manage and execute all programs involving the Yao Ming Youth Basketball Development entity. - Teaching basketball through games and effectively planned practices at a level appropriate for each participant. - Establish and conduct inter-scholastic competition, while communicating positive character development concepts to players and parents.

- Promote the activities and content of the federally-licensed, community-operated radio station and its various sub-units to the wider community through press releases, media contact, developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, events involvement and organization, promotional media and networking opportunities. - Develop and administer proposals for on and off air promotions to increase profile and market-share / audience goals. - Participate in the development and administration of strategic and operating plans, and evaluate programs for compliance with the overall mission of the station.- Implement and execute campaign strategies that promote the station across a variety of entities.
