With a firm belief in the power of creativity and sustainable engineering, I established Unplugged Solutions 15 years ago as a bit of a passion project. This venture, though small, is dynamic and thrives on versatility and a shared commitment to ethical engineering.My role at Unplugged Solutions is deeply active and hands-on, allowing me to continually engage in side projects and skill development. The company provides a meaningful framework for these pursuits, with services spanning engineering consultancy, sustainability consultancy, event planning, software development, prototype development, small scale manufacture, and sound design.One of our notable achievements has been the development of a sustainable micro-stage for events, a project called "Whomps on Wheels," for which I have written an article on LinkedIn. Other accomplishments include manufacturing a unique line of battery-powered speakers, carrying out specialised design work for construction projects, and organising carbon-neutral events.Though Unplugged Solutions operates with just one full-time member (myself), it benefits greatly from a diverse and dynamic collective of talented friends and acquaintances. During my short time at Fords Packaging Systems, I led a project focused on developing a product to aid diagnostics and lifetime product management. I was responsible for the initial specification, proof-of-concept creation, circuit board design, software writing, testing, and implementation. The end result was an innovative device that improved equipment monitoring capabilities.
