Devansh was born and brought up in the city of Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, where he also happened to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.As a sports fanatic from a very young age, he had always dreamed of being a professional cricket player, however circumstances and occurrences did not favour him, and he had to settle for a career elsewhere.But as they say, old habits die hard, which meant that consequently he was able to find the right career for himself which kept him close to the one thing he absolutely admires - sport!After having worked as a featured writer for an upcoming sports website at the time (www.sportskeeda.com) during the last year of his graduation and the following six months, he did not develop a particular liking for the profession, and quickly moved on to Public Relations.As part of a dedicated team at WordsWork Communications Consulting, Devansh was able to hone his communications and writing skills, while also managing to find a liking for communication and marketing strategy formulation, client servicing and media relations, during his four years at the boutique firm.He worked on clients including major sports entities of the country like Hockey India, Delhi Capitals, Indian Olympic Association, Tata Open Maharashtra, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, NBA, La Liga, Roland-Garros, and Premier League among others.In March 2021, he joined Rajasthan Royals, the inaugural winners of the IPL, as a Senior Executive- PR and Communications, wherein he formulated both internal and external communications strategies and took charge of media operations of the franchise in India.In October 2023, he was promoted to Manager - PR & Communications, which sees him leading the vertical at the franchise.
