I came up with the idea of doing something innovative with the hand tufting as I belong to a family of carpet manufacturers. My idea was to preserve the ancient technique of hand woven with a modern day twist into more flexible usage. My company Rainbow Tufts is trying to break the mould that rugs don’t only belong to the floors instead, you can use these sustainable yarns in different ways to amp up your house. I am going to bring out that fun, colourful aesthetic aspect of using tufted rugs in various ways for home decor.
