Worked as California Climate Action Fellow for a Joint Office of Energy & Transportation Project to build sustainable and scalable business models to drive access and equity for public charging infrastructure in the US. Utilised secondary literature, stakeholder engagement to identify appropriate utility discount programs to leverage to build a differentiated price model for low income communities.

Worked with CXL’s Extinction Solution Index & Impact Evaluation team to:1. Develop a methodology to assess & rank different solutions to reduce extinction loss of biodiversity. 2. Worked on finding time series data based on IUCN threat classification & building various projection model using auto ARIMA in R. 3. Worked on a modified STAR framework to generate STAR score for ranking solutions. 4. Worked on developing impact evaluation methodologies to assess the impact of CXL products like Sentinel & NABIT.

Project: Institutional Networks and Self Organised Adaptation: Tracing the Democratic Architecture of Climate Response, grant awarded by Swedish Research Council. Aims to understand:1. Portfolios of risks that different people face2. Political channels through which citizens seek support for such threats 3. Networks of interaction through which state responses are developed 4. What are the recursive effects of these responses on household’s experience of risk? Studies the population of rural Himalayan region in India and Nepal. Work on:Cleaning and processing the primary data using Qualtrics and R. Working on Data analysis using tools like R and Python to derive insights. Field surveys in rural regions of Nepal to understand institutions, and networks, and their role in facilitating local responses to different shocks.Social Network Analysis and Visualisations through Python using the Qualtitative and Quantitative data. Working Papers:How historical investments in institutions and repeated institutional interactions facilitate development outcomes in Nepal Impact of COVID19 on disrupting agricultural strategies in Nepal How various socio-economic indicators impact people’s vulnerability to various threats and their response and access to institutions. Project: Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Forest Resource Use by Rural Communities in India funded by FORMAS. Through analysis of satellite remote-sensing data, intensive livelihood surveys across 600 households of Himachal, the project pursues the following specific objectives:1) Quantitatively measure the extent of land-cover/land-use change (LC LUC ) within forest plantations during the COVID-19 pandemic;2) Remotely detect the interaction of people with forests as a quantitative measure of forest-plantation utilization;3) Measure and understand the relationships between forestry policies, LC LU change, and rural livelihoods during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Worked with CDFI’s data collection and analysis tools: SANKALP, SANGRAH and KANCHI across different projects involving on-ground monitoring and evaluation. Conceptualised a Needs assessment study in Morang District of Nepal ‘to evaluate the need for a digital monitoring and evaluation system to drive outcomes in maternal and child health’

Experience of working with the Members of Parliament, various state governments, corporates and academicians on various projects across sectors like health, employment, and labour. Assisted MPs with policy and bill briefs, organised round table conferences on various subjects during the sessions.Worked with the state government of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Worked with the labour department of Chhattisgarh on streamlining schemes catering to the welfare of migrant workers in Chhattisgarh. Worked with Uber on an analytical advocacy project to understand the perception of MPs on role of technology based aggregators like Uber in facilitating employment and overall welfare of the society. Worked on various COVID related research during the pandemic - assisting MPs with policy briefs, and conducted roundtables on various covid related debates. Some experience in writing research proposals and outreach activities as well.
