I am a final-year student of Computational Engineering Science at RWTH Aachen University, due to graduate in March 2025. My current academic interests lie in mathematical modelling, scientific computing, and stochastic calculus. My degree lies at the intersection of mechanical engineering, numerical mathematics, and computer science, albeit my interests have shifted more to the latter two: which also represent my planned areas of focus during my master's.I'm currently pursuing an internship at HSBC in Düsseldorf, in the Equity Derivatives Trading division, where I'm helping traders by creating market analyses, simulating trading strategies and automating processes. Post this initial experience, I will begin an internship at EY in Frankfurt, in the FAAS division, where I'll be helping build mathematical models to price a wide range of financial instruments and measure risk. While these experiences will represent a departure from my engineering background, I am excited to see how I can apply my mathematical skills to the realm of finance.Outside of class, I worked at the MODES Research Group at the RWTH, and wrote code to parametrise charge-equilibrated force fields to model oxide behaviour. I plan to continue this project over the next few months forming the topic of my bachelor thesis. I also lead the international student club of my city, INCAS Aachen e.V. Excited to connect!
