• Hand-on experience in providing backup to applications such as File servers, Virtual Infra, and databases (SQL DB2 & Oracle).• Sound knowledge to create a backup for enterprise environments such as Commvault and Net Backup.• Health Check of master server which we used to check the status of the master server, Drives status, Data Domain status, the Backup status of the last two hours• Adding new clients to the backup rotation, decommissioning the clients, and modifying the policy or client properties. Removing the clients from the backup rotation temporarily based on the customer's request.• Doing Tape operations like verifying the available scratch tapes & making sure that enough scratch tapes are available for the backups (Especially before weekends).• Perform the restores for System state & File System restores for Windows, VM restores.• Process Technical documentation creation.• Upgradation to the latest version of master & media servers based on dependencies and requirements.• Commissioning and decommissioning of servers from the backup environment and notifying stakeholders.• Re-running the failed backups & configuring backups on servers on Commvault along with Media Management like tape loading, unloading, and formatting.• Proactively monitor backup Jobs/Drive Status through Commvault Console.• Managing daily, weekly, and monthly backup operations• Managing Critical Backup, policies, storage units, catalogs, devices, and images schedule monitoring & Reporting• Restore files/folders/Databases and escalate to other support teams if required.• Participate in Daily Service Reviews (DSR).• Media management and troubleshooting media and drive-related issues.• Managed multiple audit documents for client Audits and participated in various Audits. Prepare process documents for the management and environment-based documents for the team for easy manageability of the work.
