CurrentCompleting paperwork for material usage, filling out shop orders, and computer transactions for shop orders.Maintaining safe work environment by following safe practices and adhering to safety policies.Setting up, operating and inspecting first piece for quality and correct measurements, as well as operatingvarious machines to process steel parts and repairing various mechanical issues that may arise.Performing daily machine startup and shutdown procedures on CNC laser equipment.Fixing common issues regarding cut quality by centering laser, replacing tip, cleaning the lens, adjustingfocus, feed rate, and correcting standoff, as well as inspecting parts to match blueprint using calipers,micrometer, tape measure, and pin gauges.Setting up, maintaining, and operating CO2, and nitrogen-based fabrication lasers, as well as changing gasbanks and filters as needed.Finding and transporting necessary material for workday, either by forklift or overhead crane.
